About Comprehensive Hearing Solutions

A locally owned audiology practice in Houma, LA, bringing comprehensive testing, prescription hearing aid fitting, and ongoing care together to help adults hear better in everyday life.

Why We Built This Practice

Hearing better can mean following a conversation with your family, participating more comfortably at work, or feeling included when friends get together. Those everyday experiences are what we built Comprehensive Hearing Solutions around.

We believe hearing care works best when each step informs the next. Understanding your hearing and listening needs helps guide the technology we recommend. Careful fitting and verification help us put that technology to work for you. Follow-up care gives us the opportunity to learn from your experience and make adjustments over time.

That belief shapes how we practice: take time to understand, use what we learn, measure what we can, and continue caring for you beyond the fitting.

Meet Dr. Erin Rushing

Dr. Erin Rushing is a licensed audiologist and the founder of Comprehensive Hearing Solutions. She built the practice around a comprehensive approach to adult hearing care, with close attention to testing, prescription hearing aid fitting, and continued support.

Your appointments give her the opportunity to understand where you are having difficulty, what you want to improve, and how your hearing affects your daily life. She brings that understanding into her recommendations and the care that follows.

Her expertise also includes auditory therapy for listening difficulties that may persist even with well-fit hearing aids.

Independently Owned. Personally Involved.

Comprehensive Hearing Solutions is a husband-and-wife practice. We own and operate the office ourselves, and we are personally involved in making your experience welcoming, organized, and comfortable.

For us, personal care includes the everyday details: making time for questions, explaining what to expect, and helping you navigate the next step. We want you to feel comfortable telling us when something is difficult or when your hearing aids are not working the way you hoped.

Over time, we get to know your hearing history, your preferences, and the situations that matter to you. That familiarity helps us provide continuity throughout your care.

What Comprehensive Care Means Here

Our process connects three parts of hearing care, each building on what we learn along the way.

Comprehensive Hearing Test in Houma, LA

Comprehensive Testing

We evaluate your hearing and discuss the listening situations you find challenging. Together, those findings help guide our recommendations, including hearing aid selection and programming.

Comprehensive Fitting

We pair advanced prescription hearing aids with programming, verification, and careful fine-tuning. Your test results guide the fitting, and your feedback helps us understand how it translates to everyday listening.

Comprehensive Ongoing Care

We continue to care for both your hearing and your devices. Follow-up visits, adjustments, and maintenance help us address concerns and respond as your needs change.

Feel Informed About Your Care

You deserve to understand what your testing shows, why a particular option is being recommended, and what your care will involve.

We explain the technology, pricing, and services included so you can make informed decisions. Questions are welcome throughout the process—whether you are considering hearing aids for the first time or have worn them for years.
